Mission

At the American Wild Horse Foundation, our Mission is to create a responsible and sustainable model that will preserve wild horses for generations to come.  Inherent in our Mission is our belief that the magnificence and wonder of our wild horses belongs to all Americans.

Each of us should have the ability to access, learn about and interact with our national treasure.  Moreover, we suspect that every American may find that their own cultural heritage is carried in a wild horse herd roaming free on America’s range.

Goals

01.

Provide interactive learning about wild horses through our Wild Horse Living Museum.

02.

Collect, curate, preserve and teach the collectively history of America’s wild horses.

03.

Embrace and engage local communities, including families and schools, to provide an experience where all Americans can engage with and learn about our wild horses.

04.

Collect and provide details about wild horse efforts across the US, including information about other non-profit wild horse efforts, where they are located and what they do.

05.

Fund via grants select projects where we see the potential for a high impact that aligns with our Mission.

06.

Selectively spotlight programs and successes occurring across the US to ensure that we experience what’s “going right” and cheer them on.
